Surrey Users' Network (SUN) have been invited to come to the October Branch Committee of Surrey County UNISON to talk about their work and to share ideas about how workers and service users can campaign together over common issues such as cuts in services. This branch committee restates its commitment to working in partnership with service users and their representatives throughout Surrey, in defending jobs and services. The election of a Service User Liaison Officer (SULO) earlier this year was an important part of this commitment. Preliminary discussions between the SULO and service user representatives have taken place leading to the following position statement:
